François is an entrepreneur. Anne, an INSEAD MBA, has spent 10 years with the French subsidiary of a large, American consumer-goods company. She has spent the last few years trying to build an interesting and recognised job with a part-time schedule.
The purpose of this case series is to promote a discussion of career issues in the complexity of dual-career and multi-cultural families. A particular focus is on the importance of building personal skills to deal with this complexity. Self-awareness and sensitivity to understanding differences are key themes which emerge as essential to resolving these career and family issues.
