An employee of an American company with a zero-tolerance bribery policy bribes a border official in Nigeria. He does so because he fears for his own safety. Later, he tells his boss about the incident, and the boss instructs him to report the incident to the company. The employee fears that if he does so, his job will be terminated.

“Turning the Tide in Mozambique” explores the efforts of a new expatriate CEO to improve gender balance at a technologically advanced transportation hub in southern Africa that he is hired to run for a conglomerate headquartered in the Middle East. His goal is to increase the number of female staff and create a more inclusive culture.

A young high-flier is sent by the head office of a European chemical company to run the marketing team in the Shanghai office. He ignores local practice and insists on enforcing company rules, upsetting local staff. The manager for China, also an expatriate, who has excellent China experience but is relatively new to the company, is called upon to arbitrate.
