This case describes the remarkable success story of the Industrial Electronics Division created at ASESA in 1984 as an in-house employment agency to help find suitable sub-contracting opportunities for ASESA’s redundant employees. By 1993, the division had established itself as a key competence centre within Alcatel and earned the Most Admired Company award in Spain, awarded by Actualidad Economica.
