This case follows a fictitious renewable energy organisation located in Germany that is struggling with high levels of employee attrition. The case describes the organisation’s history, structure, and culture, and solicits the opinions of several managers and employees on what may be driving high turnover. The case is accompanied by one year of fictitious employee data that can be used to explore and test potential drivers of employee exits.
The purpose of this case is to introduce students to common methods used in People Analytics and Human Resource Management. Students can use the case and associated data to explore potential drivers of employee turnover and develop interventions. This case may also be used to introduce students to organisational analytics, discuss startup scaling challenges, or provide practice in applying statistical methods to internal organisational data.
